wie ihr wisst, haben wir gemeinsam mit der OG von Solidarit\u00e4t International vor drei Jahren eine Partnererschaft mit der Familie des Verschwundenen James Balao auf den Philippinen beschlossen. Wir verpflichteten uns, die Tage seines Verschwindens zu z\u00e4hlen: heute haben wir den 1092. Tag seines Verschwindens.\"\"<\/p>\n

In den drei Jahren gab es gegenseitige Besuche mit der Familie Balaos und zahlreiche Briefe und gegenseitige Informationen.Die Postkartenaktion zum 1000 Tag seines Verschwindens an den Pr\u00e4sidenten Aquiono wurde in der Presse auf den Philippinen viel beachtet, unsere Solidarit\u00e4t st\u00e4rkt den Kampf dort ; You never walk alone!<\/p>\n

7 Jahre Montagsdemo Stuttgart sind drei Jahren Solidarit\u00e4t mit dem Kampf des philippinischen Volkes um Freiheit und Menschenw\u00fcrde. Wir konnten mehr als 1000,00 \u20ac direkt \u00fcberweisen und gest\u00fctzt auf zahlreiche Spenderinnen und Spender an die 20 Balik Bayan Pakete versenden. Vielen vielen Dank. Ohne Organisation ist das nicht zu stemmen. Internationale Solidarit\u00e4t braucht passive und aktive Mitglieder, werdet Mitglied in Solidarit\u00e4t International durch einen Monatsbeitrag von 1,50 \u20ac, denn Solidarit\u00e4t braucht Geld!<\/p>\n

Am 17. September 2011 z\u00e4hlen wir den 1097. Tag des Verschwindens des indigenen Volksaktivisten James Balao, der durch Sicherheitskr\u00e4fte in La Trinidad, Benguet gewaltsam entf\u00fchrt wurde. Hier in Baguio City wollen wir diesen Tag zur Erinnerung an dieses Verschwinden begehen und unsere Forderung an die Regierung bekr\u00e4ftigen, James wieder ans Licht der \u00d6ffentlichkeit zu bringen im Sinne unserer Forderung:<\/p>\n

\u201cNie wieder Ausnahmegesetze wie unter Pr\u00e4sident Marcos! Rettet James Balao!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gerechtigkeit f\u00fcr alle von Menschenrechtsverletzung Betroffenen!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Es sind nur drei Jahre her, seitdem James Balao gewaltsam entf\u00fchrt wurde- und immer noch suchen wir nach ihm. Die Regierung von Pr\u00e4sident Benigno Aquino III schweigt immer noch, obwohl an die 1000 Postkarten an ihn am 12. Juni 20111 anl\u00e4sslich des 1000. Tag des Verschwindens von James an ihn geschickt wurden mit der Forderung, in dieser Sache aktiv zu werden.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Seit Pr\u00e4sident Aquino im Amt ist, sind 8 dokumentierte F\u00e4lle von gewaltsamen Verschwinden-Lassens und anderen Verletzungen von Menschenrechten \u00e4hnlich jenen zur Zeit des Ausnahmezustands unter Marcos geschehen.<\/p>\n

Am 17. September werden wir uns versammeln und die Regierung der Philippinen verdammen wegen ihrer Unt\u00e4tigkeit in dem Fall von James Balao und wegen den st\u00e4ndigen Menschenrechtsverletzungen. Wir werden uns an diesem Tag auch an die Worte des Senators Jose Pepe W. Diokno aus den finstersten Jahren des Ausnahmezustands erinnern:<\/p>\n

\u201cIch wei\u00df, dass die Herrschenden und ihre Gesetze unseren K\u00f6rper zerschlagen k\u00f6nnen. Sie k\u00f6nnen vielleicht unseren Kopf brechen, doch nie k\u00f6nnen sie unseren Geist erobern.<\/em><\/p>\n

Sie k\u00f6nnen vielleicht uns unsere Stimme und unsere Augen nehmen, doch sie k\u00f6nnen weder unsere Hoffnung noch uns unsere Tr\u00e4ume nehmen.Wir werden weiter k\u00e4mpfen, egal wie lange es dauern und was es kosten wird bis wir eine gerechte Gesellschaft errichtet von freien M\u00e4nnern und Frauen in unserem Land errichtet haben, in der gemeinsam entschieden, gemeinsam gearbeitet und gemeinsam gestrebt wird, wo aber auch gemeinsam gesungen, getanzt, gelacht und und gemeinsam gelebt wird.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Wir wollen euch ermutigen, anl\u00e4sslich des 17. Septembers Solidarit\u00e4tsaktionen zu unternehmen und von der Regierung zu fordern, James Balao an die \u00d6ffentlichkeit zu bringen und die Politik des gewaltsamen Verschwindenlassen zu beenden. Unser andauernde Kampf um Gerechtigkeit dient nicht nur ihm, sondern allen Opfern von Menschenrechtsverletzungen in unserem Land….\u201d<\/p>\n

On the 7th anniversary of the Mondaydemonstration against the unsocial law Hartz 4 and on the 3rd anniversary of the disappearance of James Balao an international vigil and birthday-meeting was made in Stuttgart on Monday, the 12th of September 2011. We counted\u00a0– as it was decided<\/em>\u00a0 in October 2008 in\u00a0the partnership<\/em> agreement\u00a0between the Monday-Demonstration Movement Stuttgart\u00a0and the family Balao and Cordillera People Alliance (CPA)\u00a0– \u00a0the days of disappearance of James Balao. It was the\u00a01092nd \u00a0\u00a0day of the disappearance of James Balao.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Dear friends of the Mondaydemonstration in Stuttgart,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

as you all know we have\u00a0decided together with Solidarity International of Stuttgart to organice\u00a0a partnership with the family of the enforced disappeared James Balao of the Philippines and the Cordillera Peoples Alliance (CPA). James Balao was one of the founding members of the CPA. Being an international protest and dunning vigil we count the days of his disappearance. Today is the 1092nd day of his disappearance.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the last three years there were mutual visits and emails and a lot of information. Some newspapers in the Philippines reported about the postcard action to president Aquino III\u00a0at the 1000 day (12th of June 2011)<\/span>\u00a0of his disapperance and it strengthen the solidarity there and here: you never walk alone!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Seven years of Mondaydemonstration in Stuttgart are 3 years of solidarity with the struggle of the people in the Philippines for liberty and dignity. More than 1000,00 \u20ac and more than 20 Balik Bayan Boxes could be transfered. Thank you very much. International solidarity needs active and passive members. September 17, 2011 marks the1097<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span><\/sup> day since the indigenous people activist James Balao was abducted by state security forces in La Trinidad, Benguet. Here <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

in Baguio City, we will be commemorating this day and reiterating our demand for the government to surface him through an activity with the theme, <\/span><\/span>\u201cNever again to Martial Law! Surface James Balao! Justice for all Victims of Human Rights Violations!\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It has been three long years since James Balao was taken away and still we continue to search for him. The administration of President Benigno Aquino III has been silent on the issue despite the thousands of postcards sent to his office since June 12 of this year appealing for him to take action on the matter. Since President Aquino took oath, there have been eight documented cases of enforced disappearances and other human rights violations similar to the ones perpetrated under martial rule.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On September 17, we will gather to condemn the Philippine government\u2019s inaction regarding the enforced disappearance of James Balao and the continuing human rights violations. We will also take this time to continue to impart the lesson from the darkest years of Martial Law as former Senator Jose Pepe W. Diokno stated in one of his famous speeches, \u201c\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>I knew then that martial law could crush our bodies; it could break our minds; but it could not conquer our spirit. It may silence our voice and seal our eyes; but it cannot kill our hope nor obliterate our vision. We will struggle on, no matter how long it takes or what it costs, until we establish a just community of free men and women in our land, deciding together, working and striving together, but also singing and dancing, laughing and living together.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We encourage you to organize solidarity actions this coming September 17 to call on the government to surface James Balao and to put an end to enforced disappearances. The continuing struggle for justice is not only for him but for all victims of human rights violations in the country. <\/span><\/span>We are very optimistic that you can join us on this day and in the continuing pursuit for peace based on justice. ….<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
