Condolence to the mother of J. Balao – 636th day of enforced disappearance?

Dear family Balao, dear Winston, dear Nonette and dear Joni, dear friends of James Balao – so far from you!

Monday Demonstration: reading the  letter of condolence to family Balao and friends

We are very sad about the death of James Balao´s mother … We hope that her death was without harm in spite of all her troubles and diseases. We are very sad about, even if we didn´t get known of her directly. But we share her sorrow and pain as the mother of James Balao, who was observed and threatened by the secret services and the murders and finally enforced disappeared by them at the 17^th of September in 2008. Until her death she never gaves up her hope to meet her son again, who disappeared enforced 636 days ago.

We are mourning with the whole family and all friends and all friends of Cordillera Peoples alliance (CPA). James was one of the founders of CPA. He exactly knew that a genuine change of the society will only come true, if we are organized and if we resist together. This fight and power for a liberated future lives in all of our hearts and thoughts worldwide, as well here in Stuttgart.

We demand a complete clearance of James disappearance and the punishment for all those who are responsible for above all for the president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and her sponsors made in USA. We demand at James Balaos´ mother´s burial the immediate stop of that policy of killings of persons who fight for human rights and for the rights of the trade unions. Only some days ago, on the 2^nd of June 2010 the young Edward Panganiban, who was just 27 years old and a militant member of the trade union, was killed in the Barangay Caingin, Santa Rosa City, Laguna by 12 shoots by killers on motorbikes.

We call on the new President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III to accuse and judge Gloria Arroyo to do something for all victims of her.

Liebe Familie Balao, lieber Winston, liebe Nonette und liebe Joni,liebe Freundinnen und Freunde – so fern von euch.

Wir haben eure Nachricht vom Tod von James Balaos Mutter erhalten und sind sehr traurig darüber… wir hoffen, dass sie trotz all ihren Sorgen und Krankheiten einen leichten Tod finden konnte. Wir sind sehr traurig darüber, auch wenn wir sie nicht persönlich kennen lernen konnten. Doch wir fühlen mit ihr als Mutter von James Balao, den die Geheimdienste und Todesschwadrone lange Zeit überwachten, einschüchterten und ihn schließlich am 17. September 2008 entführten. Bis zu ihrem Tod hat sie als Mutter nie die Hoffnung aufgegeben, ihren Sohn wieder zu sehen, der heute vor 356 Tagen verschwunden und verschleppt wurde.

Wir trauern mit der ganzen Familie und den ganzen Freundinnen und Freunden auch von der Cordillera Peoples Alliance (CPA), dessen Gründungsmitglied er war. James wusste genau, dass eine Änderung der gesellschaftlichen Verhältnisse nur dann kommen kann, wenn man sich organisiert und gemeinsam den Widerstand entfaltet…. dieser Widerstand für eine befreite Gesellschaft lebt in den Herzen und Gedanken der Menschen weiter, auch hier in Stuttgart.

Dieser Widerstand fordert nach wie vor die volle Aufklärung aller Umstände von James Verschwinden, fordert die Bestrafung der verantwortlichen Präsidentin GM Arroyo und ihrer Sponsoren made in USA. Wir fordern am Sarg der verstorbenen Mutter von James Balao die sofortige Einstellung der Politik der Liquidierung von Menschenrechtsaktivisten und Gewerkschaftern, so wie gerade jetzt wieder am 2. Juni der kämpferischer 27 jährige Gewerkschafter Edward Panganiban im Barangay Caingin, Santa Rosa City, Laguna von staatlichen Auftragskillern auf Motorrädern mit 12 Schüssen nieder geschossen wurde.

Wir fordern den neuen Präsidenten Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III auf, Gloria Arroyo vor Gericht zu bringen als eine Möglichkeit, für das Recht aller Opfer etwas zu tun.
