Liebe Bewohnerinnen und Bewohner, liebe Jugendliche, liebe Trauernden,
Herr Präsident Aquino III. !
Am Montag, den 23. April 2012 wurde der Massenprotest von über 10 000 armen Bewohnern durch die Polizei in Manila brutal und rücksichtslos niedergeschlagen. Zahlreiche Menschen wurden verwundet und verhaftet, 1 Mensch ermordet, darunter zwei Jugendliche im Alter von 16 Jahren.
Auch wenn Meere zwischen uns liegen, so trauern wir mit euch um eure Toten und denken an die Familien und all die Menschen, die ihre kleinen Hütten und all ihre Habseligkeiten verloren haben. Nicht die Bedürfnisse der Menschen und der Natur, sondern Spekulationsobjekte, Glaspaläste und Logistikzentren einer auf den bloßen Profit abzielenden internationalen Finanzwelt sollen durch Wasserwerfer, Schlagstöcke, Tränengas und Schusswaffen geschützt werden.
Auch wenn es zwischen unserer Situation in Stuttgart im Kampf gegen das Milliardenprojekt „Stuttgart 21“ und der euren in Manila große Unterschiede gibt, so haben wir die gemeinsame Erfahrung gemacht, dass die Staatsmacht mit Gewalt und Brutalität die Interessen der Konzerne und der herrschenden Politik hier wie in Manila durchsetzt. Am „Schwarzen Donnerstag“ (30. September 2010) haben über 4. 000 Polizisten mit Wasserwerfern, Pfefferspray, Tränengas usw. den Massenprotest niedergeschlagen. Mehr als 400 Verletzte mit zum Teil lebenslänglichen Verletzungen wie Blindheit und zahlreichen traumatischen Erlebnisse waren das Ergebnis. Im Februar 2012 setzte eine Übermacht von an die 9 000 Polizisten die Abholzung unseres Parks und die Räumung des Protestcamps durch. Mit einer “Volksabstimmung“ sollte dieses Vorgehen gerechtfertigt werden, was für ein Betrug!
Die Verantwortlichen für diese Angriffe müssen hier wie dort zur Rechenschaft gezogen werden.
Wir brauchen überall in der Welt Freiheit und Demokratie und ein menschenwürdiges Leben in einer intakten Natur und Umwelt – es ist genug für alle da!
S 21 und Manila, Silverio Compound ist überall!

Dear inhabitants, dear adolescents, dear mournings
Mr. President Aquino III. !
On Monday the 23 rd of April 2012 the protesting assembly of 10 000 poor people has been brutally and regardless cut down. Many people has been wounded and arrested. Four people were killed, two of them were adolescent in the age of 16 years.
Even if oceans are between us, we nevertheless are also mourning with you for the dead and we are thinking of the families and all the people who have lost their home and stuff. There is shelter not for the meanings of people and nature but for the objects of speculation, palaces of glass, and centres for logistic affairs of an economic world which only looks for their profits. Their affairs are sheltered by water cannons, batons, tear gas and colts.
Even if there are many differences between our fight against the project Stuttgart 21 costing billions of Euros and your resistance in Manila, we have the same experience in common that the power of state pushes the interests of the economics brutally.
At the “Black Thursday” (30th of September 2010) more than 4.000 policemen have cut down the demonstration of young people with tear gas, water cannons and pepper spray. More than 400 wounded, some of them wounded for their whole life as blind, traumata.
In February 2012 the superior power of 9.000 policemen pushed through the cutting of a part of our park and the clearing of the Protest Camp. By a “referendum” they tried to justify their doing.
Those who are responsible there for have to be called to account for.
All over the world we need freedom and democracy and a life in dignity in an healthy nature and environment – there is enough for all of us!
S 21 and Manila, Silverio Compound are all over!
