This would amount to more than a Billion Euro up to 2014. Actually the workforce of Opel was never asked about such a forgoing. It is implied that workers should forgo half of their Christmas and holiday funds and not claim any higher wages. Beside this Opel wants to reduce the workforce from 48,000 to 39,700 jobs in Europe. In Germany some 3,900 jobs will be rationalized. The whole scheme is called to be a programme without any “alternative” and the “lesser evil”.

Mord an Fernando Baldomero – Factsheet

 

Liebe Freunde,

noch ohne Petition und offenen Brief senden wir Euch/ Ihnen die Nachricht eines weiteren Mordes. Der 61-jährige Fernando Baldomero von der Insel Panay in den Visayas wurde heute Morgen um 6.30Uhr philippinischer Zeit vor seinem Haus erschossen. Baldomero war u.a. Koordinator der radikalen linken Partei Bayan Muna auf der Provinzebene und Mitglied der Organisation ehemaliger politischer Gefangener SELDA. Hinter seiner Ermordung werden politische Motive vermutet. Bereits im Vorhinein hatte es Angriffe auf seine Person gegeben.

Die gute Nachricht zuerst: Wenn der fünfzigjährige Benigno »Noynoy« Aquino III heute (30. Juni) als 15. Präsident seines Landes vereidigt wird und in den Malacañang-Palast zu Manila einzieht, endet ein für die Masse der Filipinos ebenso dunkles wie verlorenes Jahrzehnt. Seine Vorgängerin Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo gilt nicht nur als meistgehaßte Präsidentin seit dem Diktator Ferdinand E. Marcos (1966–86). Der Name Arroyo steht synonym für Korruption, Skandale, Wahlfälschungen, massive Menschenrechtsverletzungen, staatliche Auftragsmorde und eine Politik, die ungeniert das internationale Big Business und die einheimische Oligarchie hofierte.
