Wir freuen uns über den Beschluss der Schulkonferenz, dass 30% des Erlöses der Rotkehlchen CD, wie mit Ihnen besprochen, an die Turbankinder auf den Philippinen geht.
Auch freuen wir uns darüber, dass wir bereits in der Plus Zone sind mit dem Verkauf der CD und die erste Rate (134,91€) an die Turbankinder auf den Philippinen überweisen konnten. Dieser Betrag kommt ohne Abzüge direkt der kulturellen Arbeit der überparteilichen „Anti Open Pit Mining-Kids“ oder auch „Sheng Nget-Group“ genannten Jugend- und Kindergruppe in UCAB in der Cordillera-Region zugute. 
Gefreut haben wir uns auch darüber, dass einige „Turbankinder“ uns Briefe mit selbst gemalten Bildern geschickt haben als Dankeschön für Sachspenden, die wir vor Weihnachten in die Philippinen geschickt haben. Die Cordillera-Region war durch einen Taifun heimgesucht worden und zahlreiche Menschen haben ihre Häuser verloren.

On the Monday Demonstration in Stuttgart, Germany, 19h of April 2010 we counted  just as it was decided by the Monday-Demonstration Movement Stuttgart in our partnership agreement between the Monday-Demonstration-Movement  in Stuttgart and the family Balao and Cordillera People Alliance (CPA) of October 2008- the days of the disappearance of James Balao.

Today it was the 49th birthday of James Balao and the 580th day of his  disappearance. On our Monday demonstration the following text was recitated (in German and in English-have a look on the annex ):

Mit dieser Metapher beschrieben philippinische Bürgerrechtler in den 1970er Jahren die Erwartung auf einen tiefgreifenden Wandel ihres Landes. Dort hatte Präsident Ferdinand E. Marcos am 21. September 1972 das Kriegsrecht ausgerufen und den Grundstein für ein diktatorisches Regime gelegt, das erst 1986 durch eine friedliche Revolution gestürzt wurde. On this Monday it was the 545th  day of his disappearance…


A jobless couple from former Yugoslavia and living in the Hartz 4 laws sends tohether with the whole Monday demonstration in Stuttgart their militant protest to President Arroyo. These both take part at the MD now more tha 5 years and even there are not so many participants anymore  like 5 years ago, our resistance goes on as it must go on.


 

We carry on the fight for social and political rights and are special in the Holy Week in deep solidarity with all the people worldwide, who are effected by the same system. And if we talk about James Balao and the other enforced disappeared and killed activists, we think about the last sentence of Pablo Nerudas „Canto General“:

„Podran cortar todas las flores,

pero jamas detendran la pmimavera!

They (our enemies) may cut all the flowers,

but never they will be able to dominate the springtime!

Sie(unsere Feinde) können alle Blumen abschneiden,

aber nie werden sie den Frühling beherrschen!!“
